What if I can't see the videos?
Make sure you have a browser that is compatible with the HTML5 video format. See list of compatible browsers above.
Why do the videos look choppy or take a long time to load?
Your Internet connection speed is probably too slow. High-speed Internet access is suggested for optimal playback of the videos.

What if I need more time to complete the class?
Contact the eClass administrator for your hospital and let them know you would like an extension. You can find their information in the invitation email that was sent to you or in the hospital information pages. It's up to each hospital to determine their guidelines for granting extensions.
How long does it take to complete the class?
The class takes 4-6 hours to complete. It is not recommended that you complete the class all at once. Instead, work through the class at your own pace over the course of several sessions, and be sure to take plenty of breaks.
Can someone take the class with me?
Yes! In fact, it's recommended that you take the class with your labor partner, who will need the same information to provide optimal support during labor. There are also "Partner Tips" throughout the class designed specially for labor partners, as well as "Extended Activities" for both of you to complete. You can complete the class working together, or you can share your user name and password and work through it separately. However, do not share your user name and password with anyone else.
How can I see more of the class on my screen?
Press F11 to minimize the top of your browser. Doing this allows you to see more of the class without having to scroll down and lessens on-screen clutter, allowing you to focus more easily on the class. Press F11 again to revert to the original size and see your browser.
How is the eClass structured?
The class's content is divided into eight sequential chapters. You can see the various chapters listed on the left side of your screen. Once you click on the name of a chapter, the sub-topics for that chapter will appear underneath it. If the sub-topic name is grayed out, you know that you have already visited that page. The Chapters Completed tab on the bottom left of your screen will also fill in as you complete the chapters.
How do I navigate the eClass?
It's recommended that you work through the eClass in order. There are several ways to do this. You can use the Back and Next buttons located at the top and bottom of each page. Or, you can use the side navigation on the left and click on the chapter/sub-topic you'd like to visit. You can also use the tabs at the top to visit the other areas of the eClass: Services & Info, Ask an Educator (if available), eClass Resources (if available), and Help. To return to your place in the class from these other pages, simply click on the eClass tab.

What does "Want More?" mean?
Some pages have a "Want More?" section at the bottom that list related printable PDFs (such as birth plan worksheet) and videos (such as follow-along relaxation exercises). And don't worry about how well you do on them—these quizzes are only for you, and the results aren't saved or shared with anyone.
What are "Extended Activities"?
Each chapter ends with an "Extended Activity." While each one is different, they generally help you apply the material in the chapter to your own birth. For instance, you can create a plan for getting to the hospital when you're in labor. Some of these activities allow you to type into fields, save, and print. If you'd like to print these pages, be sure to do so before your access to the class ends.
Why are some words underlined and appear in a different color?
These are glossary terms. If you mouse over them, the definition will appear. (Go to the eClass Resources tab to access the complete class glossary.)
